The.Frozen.Predictions- The 142nd Open Championship

    Normally the weekend before a major is quite in the game of golf well that wasn't the case last weekend. from Phil the thrill on the euro tour to Jordan Spieth on the PGA tour there was excitement all around. and it wasn't the two biggest tours getting in on the act the Web.com and the Canadian PGA saw 59's, even the old guys came to play, Kenny Perry shot a 63 on Sunday to runaway with his 2nd major of the year. And if you want to read more about Jordan Spieth arrival on the big stage see this!

   But this week were looking for the Champion Golfer of the Year and the Loch Ness Monster, well maybe we won`t see Nessie but after a recent trip with my buddy Charlie no one can said I didn't try. As for the champion golfer we have plenty of options the Tiger drama is that the top of the list but you can`t count out Phil or Graeme even Brandt. Who is getting some support as a 32 year old looking to follow Adam Scott and Justin Rose as first time winners. Also you can`t count out the ample Euro stars that will get no attention from the American press names like Branden Grace, Ian Poulter, Matteo Manassero and even Padraig Harrington.

The Course:
Muirfield
Par: 71   Length: 7,192
Architect: Tom Morris Sr.
Purse: 8,000,000 (1st- 1.4 mil.)

Past Winners:
2012  Ernie Els (-7)

Yahoo Fantasy Picks:

       Bench   A-list: Tiger Woods  B-list: Matt Kuchar  B-list: Dustin Johnson   C-list: Branden Grace

  This still the best reason to wake up at 4am to watch golf or better yet to still be drunk and not ready to go to bed. Why not when names like Els, Faldo, Watson, Trevino, Nicklaus, Player, Walter Hagen and Harry Vardon, has all won at Muirfield and this week should be no different the winner this due is destined to be a HOF'er as well.

    But mean while some where in 'merica;
